Barbara Ruckle

Barbara Jo Ruckle, 72, of Thomas, WV, passed away September 10, 2022, surrounded by her family at her home. Born on May 24, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Paul Welton and Josephine (Blackburn) Cullers.

After graduating from Mountaineer High School, she attended Clarksburg Beauty School. She worked as a beautician and as a child caregiver. Barbara was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church of Davis. She enjoyed shopping and going to yard sales, attending basketball games and track meets, and gardening her flowers. She appreciated God's beautiful creation out at Blackwater, where she faithfully walked everyday. Most of all, she loved the time spent with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Dale Ruckle; a son, Matthew Dale Ruckle and companion Lisa Taylor of Martinsburg, WV; a daughter, Angela Ruckle of Morgantown, WV; two grandsons, Nicholas Barner and Cameron Barner; siblings, Arthur "Bud" Cullers of Salem, WV, George Cullers of Hastings, MI, Sue Beach of Hastings, MI, Dan Cullers of Battle Creek, MI, Linda Gibson and husband Sam of Bryson City, NC, and Grace Gulch and husband Steve of Middleville, MI.

Mrs. Ruckle's request for cremation was honored. There will be a celebration of life scheduled in Spring of 2023. The Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Ruckle family at this time.
