Barbara Parrish

Barbara Ann Parrish, 43, of Elk Garden, WV died on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. Born on January 17, 1970 in Keyser, WV, she was the daughter of Mary Ellen (Summerfield) Paugh-Fleming of Baltimore and the late Donald Wayne Paugh. She had worked as a direct care provider for REM. Barb enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her mother, she is survived by two children, Tabatha B. Paugh and David G. Paugh, Jr. and girlfriend Serena Waters, whom she treated like a daughter, all of Elk Garden; granddaughters, Marcella Evans and Kira Lambka; a sister, Donna Calderon; two nephews and a niece, Joel, Brayden and Faith Calderon; an aunt, Lenora Schwinabart; Johnny Summerfield, whom she treated like a son; her cat, Digi and dog, Pup Pup. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her fiancAC., Michael Tasker in June of 2013; and her maternal grandparents, Howard and Bethel Summerfield. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St., Kitzmiller on Sunday, December 8th from 11 AM to 1 PM at which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor Matthew Paugh officiating.
