Barbara Hinkle

Barbara June Hinkle, 84, of Davis, WV passed away September 5th, 2015 at her home. She was born April 9, 1931 in Davis, WV a daughter of the late Orie Carter and Marjorie Marie Good McDowell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Ray Hinkle on November 10, 2009. She is survived by 1 son, G. Scott (Diane) Hinkle, Davis, WV, 1 daughter, Marcia Kay (Robert) Lemon, Thomas, WV, 1 brother, Richard Carter (Rebecca) McDowell, Elkins, WV, 4 grandchildren, Erica Leigh (Michael) Kraemer, Woodstock, VA, Benjamin Scott (Lauren) Hinkle, Victor, ID, Laurel Kristyn Lemon, Thomas, WV, and Logan Christopher Lemon, Morgantown, WV and 3 great-grandchildren, Kailyn Grace Kraemer, Westin Michael Kraemer and Emmelin Louise Hinkle.

Mrs. Hinkle was a homemaker. She was a member of the Davis United Methodist Church, FOE# 936 Ladies Auxiliary, former Alpine Festival Committee Chair and an avid WVU football and basketball fan. She enjoyed gardening, listening to music and singing.

Friends will be received Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 4-8 PM at Hinkle Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held, 1:00 PM, Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Hinkle Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Callaway officiating. Interment will follow in the Davis Cemetery. In lieu flowers, memorial donations can be made to Davis Volunteer Fire Department, PO box 215, Davis, WV 26260.
