Barbara Jean Fishel, 82, of Oakland, MD died on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Barbara was born on June 4, 1939, in Stemple Ridge, WV, and was the daughter of the late Arthur Shipp and Eva Moats. She was a homemaker and also worked for the Sewing Plant in Deer Park, MD. She was loved by everyone she met. Barbara was a member of the Loch Lynn Church of God. She is survived by one son, Ronald Fishel; a daughter and best friend, Charlotte Fishel; three grandchildren, Ronald Fishel, Jr., Scot Bowman and Amy Kislovich and husband Joe; six great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; two brothers, Lawrence Moats and George Moats; two sisters, Nancy Teter and Carolyn Lipscomb and husband Dave; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Fishel, and two brothers, Steven and Clayton Moats. Friends will be received at the Loch Lynn Church of God, 8649 Gorman Rd, Oakland on Sunday, December 12, 2021, from 1 to 3 PM. A funeral service will be held in the church at 3 PM with Pastors Ivan and Cindy Ackerman and Pastor John Skipper officiating. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery at a later date.
