Ava Evans

Ava Virginia Evans, 79 of Loch Lynn, MD went to be with her Lord, on Sunday, May 2, 2010.
Born March 1, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Earl Conrad.
Mrs. Evans was a devoted wife, mother and pastor's wife. An LPN, she retired from Memorial Hospital in Cumberland, MD; She was a member of the Oakland Church of the Nazarene, Choir Director, played the piano at the church; and was a volunteer at Garrett County Memorial Hospital Gift Shop.
Surviving is her husband Rev. Arthur J. Evans of Loch Lynn; three daughters, Bonnie Jo Platter of Florida, Rebecca Anne Wise of Kentucky, Vicki Lee Newsome of Illinois; 1 sister, Rosemary Brown of Riverside, CA; 3 half-sisters; nine grandchildren, Rev. Christian Newsome, Jillian Swilley, Marie Anderson, Sean Platter, Autumn Mann, Summer Ramos, Kelly Hartman, Stephanie Phillips and Leslie Stamooli 13 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. Second St., Oakland, MD on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2010 at the Oakland Church of the Nazarene with her grandson, Rev. Christian Newsome officiating.
