Austin W. VanMeter, 80 of Elk Garden, passed away Monday, September 27, 2010 at Heartland of Keyser.
Born June 30, 1930 in Hanging Rock, WV, he was the son of the late Hiram and Beula (Goldizer) VanMeter.
Austin was a retired coal miner.
Friends will be received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church Street, Kitzmiller, MD , Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 11 a.m. with funeral services following at 12 noon with the Rev. Bryan Headley officiating.
Interment will be in the Bayard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of memorials to Elk Garden Church of God, Building Fund, PO Box 11, Elk Garden, WV 26717
