Arvilla Brady

Arvilla Virginia Brady, 101, of Oakland passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at the Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home. Born on July 24, 1917, in Dodson, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Ida Catherine (Lemon) Amtower. Arvilla was a homemaker and school bus owner who contracted with the Garrett County Board of Education. She was also a member of the Full Gospel Church of Blaine, WV and volunteered at the Nearly New Shop in Oakland. She loved spending time with her family and will be greatly missed. She is survived by two children, Mary Lou Teets and husband Ray of Mtn. Lake Park and Gilda Stasa of Uniontown, OH; grandchildren, Charles Harvey and wife Joan, Debbie Beckman and friend Sandy, Paul Harvey and wife Amy, Ronnie Paugh, Susie James and husband Danny and Dan Beckman; great grandchildren, Stacey and husband Jim, Rob and partner Brian, Brison and wife Hannah, Sara, Jaiden, Regan, Peggy and husband Bob, Jesse and wife Krissy, Steve and wife Kelly, and Jeff and wife Allison; great great grandchildren, Logan, Dalton and wife Nicole, Branson, Shayla, Kayla, Jesse, Elaina, Landon, Talon, Leighton and Ella; and numerous additional extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, William S. Harvey and Oscar L. Brady; a grandson, Robert Harvey; two great grandsons, Jason James and Charles “Patrick” Harvey; two brothers, Walter and Olen Amtower; and two sisters, Loree Cutshall and Margaret Amtower. Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Friday, April 19thfrom 3 to 6 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday. April 20th at 11 AM. Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery, Elk Garden, WV.
