Arlene Marie Huber, 79, of Oakland died on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at Garrett Regional Medical Center. Born on September 30, 1942, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late George L. Zeigler Sr. and Doris H. Zeigler Mazzie.
She was a 1960 graduate of Kenwood High School and attended Maryland Beautician School. Prior to retirement, Arlene was a beautician in Rosedale, MD. She was a member of the Crossroads Church and had volunteered for the James Isaac House, Inc. Arlene enjoyed cake decorating, bible study, flower gardening, Mary Kay Cosmetics and reading. Most of all, she loved her family, caring for them and spending time in their company.
Arlene is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Ronald C. Huber, Sr.; children, Ronald C. Huber, Jr. and wife Pam of Hamstead and Michele R. O'Brien and husband Patrick of Oakland; grandchildren, Shannon Torres and husband Frank, David O'Brien and fiancee Anna Harrington, James O'Brien, Colleen O'Brien, and Catherine O'Brien; great grandchildren, Skye, Amera and Addison; a sister, Gail Ernest and husband Keith of Perry Hall; and nephews, Philip Ernest and wife Amy and Joshua Ernest and wife Jen.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Antiono Mazzie and a brother, George L. Zeigler, Jr.
Friends will be received at the Crossroads Church, 17781 Garrett Hwy, Oakland on Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 3 to 5 PM. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
