Anthony "Tony" Phillip Zeus Jr., 80, of Oakland, died on June 9, 2022, at Garrett Regional Medical Center. Born on February 10, 1942, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Anthony P. and Elizabeth Mary Mae (Odbert) Zeus.
He graduated from Gannon College in Erie, PA, with degrees in Industrial Management and Mechanical Engineering. He was a manager with GE for 15 years. He then worked for American Meter as the Director of Manufacturing for 26 years before retiring. He was a long time member of the St. James church in Erie, PA, and while he was there, he made his Cursillo. When he moved to Oakland, he became a member of the St. Peter the Apostle Church in Oakland. He enjoyed riding and caring for horses, working with tractors, farming, gardening and line dancing.
He is survived by his wife, Anita (Walbert) Zeus; a son, Anthony Zeus III and wife Cathy; a daughter, Tracy McAlee and husband Clem; two step-sons, Russell and Justin Lovins; eight grandchildren, Ryan McAlee, Nathan McAlee and wife Heather, Mary Kate McAlee and husband Eric, Mikayla McAlee, Jack McAlee, Taylor Zeus, Bella Zeus and Angelo Zeus; and six great-grandchildren, Harlow, Caden, Layna, Maelynn, Nala, and Ezra.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jane Zeus, and his first wife, Mary Lou (Corsi) Zeus.
A Mass will be held at the St. Peter the Apostle Church, 208 S 4th St. Oakland, MD, on June 29, 2022, at 3PM with Father Tom Gills officiating.
