Anne (Gordon) Bell-Boltz, 87 of Oakland, MD died Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Garrett County Memorial Hospital.

Born February 16, 1923 in Gerrardstown, WV, she was the daughter of the late William Elwood and Sarah (Groff) Gordon. She was preceded in death by husbands Jay Lewis Bell and Howard W. Boltz. Anne was also preceded in death by her son, Jay Gordon Bell; and by brothers John William and Julian Elwood Gordon.

Anne graduate from Martinsburg High School and attended Shenandoah Conservatory of Music in Dayton, VA. Anne was the co-founder and manager of Jan Florist, was a realtor with Garrettland Realty, member and Past President of the Oakland Civic Club and the B.P.W, member of Deep Creek Yacht Club, the DAV Auxiliary, a charter member of Youghiogheny Glades Chapter DAR, the Loar Auxiliary; helped with the Indian POW-WOS, the Linus Project and many others.

She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and choir. In 1993 she sang in the 50th candlelight service of the church; she had sung in the first candlelight service in 1943. She gave a Christmas program for National Sojourners at Fort Myers, VA; and had been a guest soloist at the University of Maryland, as well as soloist in many churches in the area, and involved with many musical programs.

Anne was always willing to share her talents with others. A good listener she helped many people resolve some of their problems.

Surviving is her son David Crane Bell and wife Sandy of Deer Park, MD; one daughter Lois Livengood & husband Ralph of Deer Park; 4 grandchildren, Jann Moylan of Ellicott City, Kendra Simpson of Deer Park, Ted Bell of Cumberland and Kasey Bell of Deer Park; 4 great grandchildren, Garth Wolfe, Tyler Simpson, Ryan and Charlotte Moylan.

The family will receive friends at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. Second St., Oakland, MD on Friday July 16, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.

Funeral services are Saturday at 11:00 am in St. Paul's United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jennifer Johns-Gooding officiating. Interment will be in the Deer Park Cemetery.
