Anna "Betsy" Cangley

Anna “Betsy” Elizabeth Cangley, 65, of Thomas, WV died on August 19, 2015 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on February 24, 1950 in Thomas, WV a daughter of the late Victor Allen Mazitis and survived by Anna Margaret Cangley and stepfather, Donald “Pork” Cangley, Thomas, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Joseph Cangley. Also preceding her in death was 1 brother, Victor Mazitis. She is survived by 2 daughters, Cynthia (Michael) Shaffer, Thomas, WV, Vicki (Casey) Woodyard, Martinsburg, WV, 3 brothers, Ronald Cangley, TX, Douglas (Tracy) Cangley, TX, Mark (Beth) Cangley, Thomas, WV, 1 sister, Lisa (Carl) Huffman, Thomas, WV, and 4 grandchildren, Paige and Ava Shaffer, Mallory and Parker Woodyard. Mrs. Cangley enjoyed reading books, and spending time with her grandchildren. She spent several years being a caregiver for her family. A special thank you to her friends who were there with her until the end. At the request of the deceased, her remains were cremated. Friends will be received, Sunday, August 23, 2015 from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM, the memorial service hour with Rev. David Shaffer officiating.
