Anita King-Hunt

Anita June King-Hunt, 86, of Oakland passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at the Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home. Born on June 5, 1929 in Oakland, she was the daughter of the late Walter O. and Lola B. (Cuppett) Harvey. She was a graduate of Oakland High School and had worked as a secretary for the United States Department of Defense. She was a member of the LaVale Baptist Church. Anita enjoyed gardening and travel, but her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Donald R. King, Jr. and wife Lorretta of Rock Hill, SC, Beverly A. Dunkerly and husband Donald of York, PA and Karen S. Niner of Oakland; grandchildren, Jan Rene (Dunkerly) Jones, Kevin P. Dunkerly, Todd A. Dunkerly, David R. King and wife Catherine and Keri A. (Niner) Lucas and husband Jonathan; a step grandson, Bradley Avers; great grandchildren, Julia King, Braden M. Lucas, Ava King, Grayson D. Lucas and David J. King; a brother, Kenneth Harvey; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald R. King, in 1973 and her second husband, Thomas Hunt, in 2008; two sisters, Virginia Upole and Helen Fyock; and two brothers, Junior Harvey and Larson Harvey. Friends will be received at the Pleasant View Baptist Church, 8931 Garrett Hwy., Oakland on Saturday, October 24th from 11AM to 1PM after which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor Wally Weeks officiating. Interment will follow in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens. The C & S FREDLOCK FUNERAL HOME, P.A., Oakland has been entrusted with the arrangements.
