Aniko Latonna Emerson, who brought joy and happiness to her family for ten short months left this world on August 29, 2021. She began her short journey on this earth on October 12, 2020.
Left to cherish her smiles and giggles are her parents, Jherika Winkler and Trévon Emerson; a grandmother who raised her from birth, DeeAnna Winkler, or better known to her grandchildren as Mimi, and her partner, Joseph Neville; Grandparents Danita Emerson and Shannon Pendergast; Very special, great grandparents, Sheena and James Winkler; great grandparents, Larry and Betty Banks; special aunts and uncles, Christina and Mickey Clark, James and Amanda Winkler, and Jason Winkler; siblings, Aleigha, Alijah, A’zaria, Taylor, Raven, Zayna and Aryanna; close family friends, Sandy Fike and Lisa Pike.
Aniko was Vibrant, full of life and laughter, she had just begun walking and sleeping through the night even with a full household. She lived in a home full of love; surrounded by her siblings and aunts who were like siblings to her. She brought smiles to everyone’s faces while they tickled her, cuddled her, and held her. All those who knew Aniko, had their lives brightened and were blessed to know her.

Friends will be received, Tuesday, September 7, from 4 -5 pm at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 5:00 pm with Rev. Debbie Strawser officiating. Aniko will be laid to rest 11:00am, Wednesday, September 8, in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Lavalle, MD. The Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family at this time.
