Alden Perando, Sr.

Alden Randolph Perando, Sr., 80, of Oakland, passed away on June 26, 2023, at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown. Born on March 8, 1943, in Shalmar, he was the son of the late Wolford Perando and Madeline Burgess Stark.

Alden was a graduate of Southern High School. He owned and operated Alden's Boat Repair. Alden was a member of Crossroads Church and enjoyed cooking, boating, fishing and crabbing.

He is survived by a son, Alden Randolph Perando, Jr.; two sisters, Joan Hawk and husband Bill, and Eva Mae Clary and husband Charles; two sisters-in-law, Carol and Sue Perando; along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Harold Stark; a daughter, Catherine Gordon; two brothers, Wolford "Bud" Perando and Dale Perando.

In accordance with Mr. Perando's wishes, he was cremated. There are no services scheduled at this time.
