Ada Kuhn

Ada Maxine Kuhn, 80, of Mt. Storm, WV went home to her lord on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Mon General Hospital of Morgantown, WV. Maxine was born September 23, 1930 in Ben Bush, WV. She was the daughter of the late Austin and Ruth (Nelson) Taylor. In 1947 she married Roscoe Elmer Kuhn who passed away on May 1, 1987.

Maxine was a life-long member of Calvary Temple Church in Mt. Storm where she sang in the choir. She was a wonderful cook and was famous for her homemade bread.

In addition to her parents and husband, Maxine was preceded in death by a brother- Donnie Taylor; two sisters- Loretta Baker and Ruby VanMeter; and a son-in-law, David Shaffer.

She is survived by eight daughters- Alberta Jean Kuhn of Mt.Storm, Donna Shaffer of Oakland, Marcia Hill and husband Edward of Marlinton, WV, Beverly McRobie and husband Richard of Mt. Storm, Linda Dean and husband Michael of Canton, OH, Emma Rhea and husband Wayne of Mt. Storm, Margaret Rush and husband Lonnie of Oakland, and Melissa Carr and husband Robert of Mt. Storm; five sons- Kermit Kuhn and wife Donna of Killeen, TX, Terry Kuhn and wife Effie of Hambleton, WV, David Kuhn and wife Gladys of Richmond, VA, Robert Kuhn of Mt. Storm, and Jeffrey Kuhn of Mt. Storm; 26 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 6 to 8 PM and Friday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21N. 2nd St., Oakland, MD.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Calvary Temple Church, Route 50 West, Mt. Storm, WV with the Rev. Gloria Georg officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Storm Cemetery.
